Sacrifice. Surrender. Give up.

sacrifice Follow Me on Pinterest These words describe exactly what you have done by committing to the Ultimate 21 Day Detox! You have made a sacrifice. But at the same time, there is so much more to this cleanse then the act of sacrificing certain foods & drinks.

Here’s why

At times, there are some who use fasting, or even prayer, and giving to look good in front of others. Sad to say it’s for other’s approval rather than God’s.

But this Ultimate 21 Day Detox will take you further than what level of cleanse you choose, what foods you consume or don’t consume and will give you plenty of opportunity to express the real you!

You will be tested!

Anytime you set days aside to cleanse and fast – a test is not far behind. I can almost guarantee before this 21 Days is completed, you are going to be tested in one way or another.

Just as God tested Abraham, (Genesis 22:1-12) by asking him to go on a long journey up a mountain to sacrifice his one and only son, we too are on a journey to be tested.

Act of obedience

Just for a moment, imagine the emotions Abraham must have felt with each step he took up that mountain. What an act of obedience. Pleasing God, not man.

Obedience will always trump what is to be sacrificed.

Today’s sacrifice?

You are already sacrificing certain foods or drinks. That is no small test in itself! But take it a step further with me – up the mountain.

Imagine our Daily Detox wall on Facebook as a type of “altar”!

I want you to post a picture or leave a comment of just one thing in your life that you are to lay on the “altar” and trust God with. (Don’t worry about what it will look like or what others will think!)

Whenever you get opportunity to be the real you, you have nothing to lose but everything to gain.

Besides, with so many woman on our Daily Detox wall, this is perfect timing to encourage each other along our journey up the mountain – together!

So post a picture or leave a comment over in our Daily Detox group and encourage each other!

Yesterday we blew the shofar over our personal lives, our family, our children and their children’s children.

Today we lay them on the altar.

PS. Thank you RaeDonna for reflecting a heart of surrender in today’s photo!
